Hello! My name is Emily Lamb. I grew up mostly in Pasadena with my parents and my younger sister; however, for most of the time that I was in middle school, my family moved to Shanghai. This gave us the opportunity to travel a lot around different Asian countries and experience different cultures. I got into art more at this time because I was taking an art elective in school. I had a lot of support from my friends and family who encouraged me to continue. I continued taking art classes all through high school and transferred to CSArts before my senior year.
I am planning on going to Art Center next year and majoring in Illustration. There is also an Entertainment Arts track that I am thinking of doing. I want to be a visual development artist and work in entertainment in the future. For short-term goals, I just want to learn as much as I possibly can while in college and improve my art. One goal I have that’s more far-off in the future, is that I want to help work on a film as on of the visual development artists and see how my contributions can create a final work.
