I was born in Vietnam and came to the U.S. when I was 4 years old. I had a way easier time adapting to the new environment and cultural differences than the relatives around my age did. Unlike them, I didn’t get bullied or discriminated against as much or as severely as they did. Overall, I think I have been living a pretty good life.
In the future, I want to work at a cute little bakery with one day off every week. When I come home from my job, I want to come home to a tiny, tiny, cheap apartment that’s a single square room with a tiny kitchen on one side of the wall, my one-person-bed on the other side of the wall, and at the center where there’s barely enough space will be the living/dining room containing a short round table so that when I run into it, it doesn’t hurt as much as running into the sharp corners of a square table. On the third wall is the door to my apartment and on the fourth wall is where the door to my bathroom is located. I want my bathroom to be so small that there’s no bathtub, just a shower with a toilet next to it. The bathroom should be so small that when I sit on the toilet my knees are 2 to 3 inches away from the sink. In this tiny, tiny, cheap apartment is where I want to be working on my art which includes gallery art, illustrations, comics, and animations. If the toxics fumes from my art supplies have not already suffocated me to death, then I would play games late into night and wake up sleep deprived the next day as I force myself to get up and go to work. On my days off, I want to use that time to catch up on my lack of sleep and work on any of my passion projects which includes making a children's book.
